Is it possible to make a living in HYIP and Autosurf Industry ?
This is probably one of the most asked questions I get on PM and support email: “Is it possible to make a living in HYIP and Autosurf World ?” The answer to this question is both “Yes,” and “NO”. Let me explain.
There are people that joined this industry back in 2004-2005 and they are still here, making a killing each month.
Most of the people that are introduced to this industry or they find about it by surfing online, invest in 2-3 programs without doing any basic research and when they do not receive their payments simply leave and blame the industry. That’s why when doing a search on google or read various articles online about this industry you get so many mixed oppinions. HYIP and Autosurf industry has been deemed, branded and said to be a scams, ponzi and pyramid scheme . But yet, HYIP still continue to draw in a lot of new investors while retaining some of the veteran investors. And that is what makes it an interesting industry.
First of all you should now that there are legitimate and scam programs in this industry. Legitimate programs are created by professionals that simply need to raise capital , invest it in opportunities like forex trading, sports arbitrage ,starting an online business or in offline deals and then return the capital with profit and share it with their investors. On the other hand, seeing the potential of this industry there are a lot of crooks that start HYIP programs with a simple thought in mind: to steal the funds of their customers without returning any profit or even the initial investment. You may ask how this programs get members when they do not pay their investors. Well the answer is they are paying their old investors using the funds from new ones till they raise enough funds then simple close the program and empty all the accounts. And here is where the game gets complicated…Most of the scam programs try to look legitimate working as PONZI schemes.
Now let’s see what differentiate the people that make $20,000-$50,000 per year in this industry from the majority that do not make any profit or worst they loose their hard earned cash. There are several things and I’ll start with the most important one: Knowledge
Knowledge In high yield industry the knowledge on how to research for good programs, find legitimate programs, avoid the scams and knowing when to invest in a program and when to withdraw the funds make the difference from a successful investor and a someone that gambles with his money and sooner or later loose his funds. Usually, hyipers loose their initial funds invested in programs. I call this “tuition costs” because loosing this money you learn some valuable lessons:
- Not all things that an admin say are true so you need to investigate if his statements are back end by truth or good intention or he is simple a scammer that wants your money
- Is better to have $100 in hand than in the cash balance of a site that is not paying.
- This industry may not be for you. There are people that simply like to work from 9-5 and get each month a fixed and sure sallary rather than investing their funds online. (Well we can;t really talk now when we are in the middle of financial crisis about sure and fixed sallary but you got the idea).
Sources to get informations about programs are hyip and autosurf monitors , money making forums like Collective Investments Forum, Top Gold Forum, ExtremeSurfs Forum, blogs and due diligence sites. But don’t forget the decision is always yours so make sure you do a compresive research before jumping in any program. If you have a bad feeling about it better avoid it. I always trust my feelings and till now that kept me apart of loosing large amount of funds
Investment Strategy: The key to a profitable HYIP investment is just a single word-“diversify”. It means you divide your total investment among several different HYIPs so as to minimize risk. Investing in a single program is risky, because if the program collapses, you lose all your money. But if you put your money into many programs, if one of the programs fails, you will still have money in other programs. So by diversifying you virtually decrease the % of lost money in your portfolio. Profits can still be made from investments in other HYIPs that are operating simultaneously, so it is quite possible that with a wide and wise portfolio you will always make a NET profit. For example if your total investment is around 500$ then your portfolio should include at least 5-10 (or even more) different HYIPs. Invest about 50% in long term good old HYIPs and the other 50% in new HYIPs. These may include:
- Long term HYIPs are those that give around 1.5% daily and have a good track history over 6 months with good customer support, professional web design, etc. These are real HYIPs and actually pay customers.
- New HYIPs include those who pay around 2-3% daily with unique professional web design & certain degree of reliability in other factors.
- You may invest in Ponzi schemes that give 5-10% daily, but join them early to be in profit. If you like to take more risk(or try your luck) then join in pure scam programs such as 10% daily for 30 days or 25% daily for 5 days, etc. Join early during launch of the HYIP and invest a very small amount to minimize risk.
If you follow this rules and your own judgment you can make a lot of money in this industry and you dont have to spend more than 2-3 days hours per day.

Hello Denis,
I am a starting HYIP investor and know you have to spread your eggs. I think it must be possible to have an income from HYIP sites. I am lucky to have an internet friend, who worked over 10 years in this field and can smell if a new HYIP will become a scam, because that is one of the things that are for sure, most HYIP’s will become a scam sooner or later. And do not be too greedy, take out your profit in time and do not wait until they are gone. And investing a site before starting is also advisable. Put in the www-adres at Who is? before you start. It won’t bring you always the answers, but sometimes you say at once, no, that is too risky. If you see everytime the same address as the owner, leave it.
Regards and thanks,

Surf sites and hyip;s are mostly scams and ponzi’s. I do not invest in them. I invest in rev shares that give 200% on investment. I diversify because you never know when an investment will go. The surf sites and hyip’s do not like hit and run but if you continue to invest they will take your money.

Yes, only way to play these games is to have a system that you can work with. I found it best not to rely on others or I should say, not to blindly follow them, and that includes people you “know”. Observe them for awhile and get to know others if you are going to put your trust in them.
Cheers,
Eugene

@Sally: Thank you Sally
@Aart and Khon Buri: You’re right sooner or later any HYIP program will close its doors. If the timing is right and you enter and exit at right monents you can make nice profits
@Susan: I don’t know what happent to ASA site. Yesterday I’ve visited and went fine. I suppose they are changing servers. Meanwhile you can visit our forum
@Bill: Yes hit and run may be a good strategy till you get into a program that close in day 3 or 4 of its existence.. No one is saying to reinvest your money till the site close coz thats a sure way to loose your funds. I personally invest a small amount in a site , then If I like what I see I invest a large amount, get back my principal ASAP and continue to reinvest part of the profits. This way I’ve assured my principal , I still make a profit and I still have money invested in the program.
Regarding rev share sites.they are build on a more solid system BUT the problems starts when the daily roi gets smaller every day and users get scared they will not see their funds back and stop investing (upgrading). Without money coming back in the system the fall is a sure thing.
@Eugene: You have a point there.. There are users that promote a program like mad not because is a good one but because they get referral commissions. Thats why you have to choose wisely who you are going to follow. But not all are like this..they are still decent bloggers and monitors in this industry… anyway as I’ve said in the article…your own judgment can save you from a lot of losses

Having read about HYIP for the first time it is a shame that there are scam programs at all.
As they ruin it for everyone else. At one point I would of been tempted to invest. Though not able to afford a loss best not.
All I have are a few cycle programs. They both pay and no real risk.

Yes I believe you can make a living off of hyip’s. I did a few years ago and then a few big programs went down so I stopped. But i got in early and got out early so I definitely made some big profits. I am interested in getting back into this again

I think your article is very informative and though we hope that everyone could make money with hyip it just can’t happen. It’s just like life the choices you make today will influence your tomorrow.Just as the same way as the strategy you use to play hyip will determine if it is a gamble or an investment.I always say invest knowing what the risks are and ask yourself if it is worth taking.Play smart and your money will work hard for you.
